Factory Tour
Come visit the world famous Tip Top ice cream factory, located in Auckland, New Zealand!
Tours become available to book online no more than one month in advance.
Tours are sporadic as they are based around the factory production schedule.
Tours will close for 2024 on the 18th of December. Tours will run in the January 2025 School Holidays, starting on the 14th of January onwards.

If there are no spaces available but you can book a waitlist spot, then you will be emailed IF a spot becomes available. If the tour says "FULL" unfortunately this means the waitlist is also full.

What's involved
- Our tour guides will show you how Tip Top ice cream is made in the factory
- Watch our ice cream being made in our factory from enclosed viewing galleries
- Choose one item to eat from our chest freezer and watch the Tip Top video
- Children, accompanied by an adult, can enjoy the outdoor playground before their tour
Times and dates
- No tours on weekends or public holidays
- Each tour is up to 1 hour long
- Tours are available on days when freezing lines are scheduled to run
- The tour schedule is based around our factory schedule. Hence, tours are not available on certain days
- Bookings are essential and subject to availability
What you need to know
- The cost is $12.50 per person (including supervisors and caregivers)
- Babies under 6 months are free, but must be included in tour numbers
- Prices valid until 31st December 2024
- Groups of more than 12 people should not book online but email us at [email protected]
